
Wild Geese Group Offshore Academy is proud to announce that our newest program, DIPLOMA 4 in Community Emergency Response Mutual Aid (CERMA), has been endorsed by National Open College Network (NOCN).
In order to respond to escalating emergencies that impact the community and require mutual aid or support from external agencies it is vital to respond and operate and integrate within a clear and consistent organisational structure. Several different agencies must work together effectively and efficiently to protect lives, property, the environment and minimise disruption to the community during disasters.
This course incorporates elements of:
· Incident Command System (ICS) – A field-level all hazards emergency response system based on management by objectives;
· Multi/Inter-agency coordination – Appropriate agencies working together to coordinate allocations of resources and emergency response activities;
· Mutual Aid – A system for obtaining and sharing additional emergency resources from non-affected or potentially affected jurisdictions;
· Operational Area Concept – County and its sub-divisions to coordinate damage information, resource requests and emergency response;

To provide personnel with entry level training and practical exposure to the emergency management environment, in the initial response and management of expanding incidents within Oil and Gas, Mining and Renewable Development sectors.
Prior Learning and appropriate industry experience is recognised towards completion of the DIPLOMA
